Master Masons and Builders: The Malinarics in East Griqualand.  From 1902 to 1930 a group of Yugoslavian master masons and builders, headed by Klement Malinaric, built a number of architecturally-important buildings in East Griqualand.  They came to South Africa to build St Patrick’s Cathedral in Kokstad, and later worked for Strachan & Co. and James Cole, building stores and private residences for them.  I will be talking about the buildings and the families associated with them.
